FIVE ROADBLOCKS TO PEACE / REFUGEES"

FIVE ROADBLOCKS TO PEACE / REFUGEES"
letters@latimes.com

Dear Editor,

The road to peace has as many roadblocks as the Israeli occupation put in the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip, including those put in Israel 1948. 94% of its area ownership belongs to Palestinian Arabs, which should be returned to them plus the loss of its income and sufferings, including tens of thousands of death casualties resulting from 57 years of Zionist atrocities and occupation.

Prescription does not apply to land theft by force of arms, and a self proclaimed Jewish state should not create other roadblocks in the face of millions of Palestinians to return to their land and be compensated for their various types of losses and sufferings on the hands of Israeli occupation throughout the years.

The only generous solution offered by Palestinians to end this catastrophe, is the creation of a democratic and secular Palestinian state in historic Palestine, where all Palestinians whether still in it or in their diaspora and those presently called Israelis can live as equal citizens, one man one vote.

The sufferings of Jews in Europe can and should not be avenged against the indigenous Arab people of Palestine.

Sincerely

Adib S. Kawar

A displaced Palestinian Arab
